Birth Stories, Community, and the Village We’re Rebuilding: A Circle with Mother’s Nature at Lingua

Mother’s Nature Birth Story Sharing Circle at Lingua

There are moments in this work where something just clicks — where someone walks into the space and you can feel, instantly, that they’re meant to be part of the village you’re building. That’s exactly what happened the first time Kati stepped into Lingua during one of our free Friday Open Play sessions.

She came in with her little one, drawn in by the simplicity of a community offering — a space to breathe, to connect, to let children explore while mothers exhaled. But the moment she entered, it was clear she wasn’t just visiting. She was arriving.

Shortly after, we connected - stories about motherhood, being motherless, supporting birth, and the deep need for spaces where women can be witnessed in the truth of their experiences.

And as she spoke about her work as a full‑spectrum doula and the heart behind Mother’s Nature, I felt that familiar spark: this is someone who understands the depth of what mothers carry.

That conversation planted the seed for something beautiful — and now, it’s blossoming.

Introducing: The Mother’s Nature Birth Story Sharing Circle at Lingua

It is a return to the village — a place where mothers sit in community, speak their truth, and are witnessed without judgment, interruption, or expectation.

Because birth is not just a medical event. It is a rite of passage. A transformation. A story that lives in the body long after the moment has passed.

And yet, in our culture, mothers are often asked to “bounce back,” to move on, to tuck their stories away and keep going. There is rarely space for slowness, integration, or acknowledgment of the profound initiation they’ve lived through.

This circle is here to change that.

What to Expect in the Circle

We will begin with a grounding meditation — a moment to settle into the body, soften the nervous system, and arrive fully in the space.

From there, we move into circle sharing. Mothers speak. Mothers listen. Mothers witness one another in the grief, the joy, and everything in between.

There will be time for mingling, connection, and gentle conversation afterward. Heart‑opening herbal tea will be provided.

This circle is open to all women who have given birth — whether your child is an infant, an adult, or a baby who never made it earthside. Your story is welcome here.

Meet the Facilitator: Kati of Mother’s Nature

Kati is a full‑spectrum doula, women’s circle facilitator, song leader, community organizer, early childhood educator, and mother. Her path began with her own transformation into motherhood — a journey that awakened her to the ancestral wisdom that lives inside every woman.

Trained under elder midwife Whapio in physiological birth, Kati believes deeply in the power of undisturbed presence, reverence, and grounded guidance. Her philosophy is simple and profound: when we honor birth as a sacred rite of passage, we begin to heal not only ourselves, but our collective lineage.

Why Lingua? Why Now?

Lingua has always been more than a clinic. It’s a community space — a place where families gather, children play, and mothers find connection in the in‑between moments of daily life.

When Kati walked into Open Play that Friday, she felt the energy of the space. She felt the intention behind it. And she knew, immediately, that this was a place where mothers could soften.

Hosting this circle here feels like a natural extension of what Lingua already stands for: connection, community, nervous system safety, and honoring the whole human experience.
