All virtual services uniquely provided by Lingua are also available to those who live in the Montrose County, Delta County, Ouray County, Miguel County, and Grand Junction.

Upon moving to Montrose, the founder of Lingua, Chelsea Zimmerman, had the privilege of living at East Portal Road - the very bottom of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. 

Available Services

Lingua brings three focused, in‑person specialties to Montrose: infant feeding support, oral myofunctional therapy, and specialized bodywork. 

Infant Feeding - Breastfeeding, Bottle, Solids

Hands‑on, in‑home feeding support for newborns and infants focused on comfort, effective latch at breat or bottle and safe progression to solids.

Common concerns :

  • Painful breastfeeding; shallow latch; nipple damage; poor weight gain

  • Low milk transfer or perceived low supply; pumping support

  • Bottle selection, bottle feeding strategies and paced bottle techniques

  • Reflux or formula switches; tube feed weaning

  • Starting solids: timing, texture progression, gagging vs. readiness

As a certified lactation counselor, a certifiled lactation support provider, licensed speech - language pathologist who spent years doing swallow studies and supporting infants in the NICU and well born nursery, Chelsea is equipped to navigate the toughest of feeding moments. 

Oral Myofunctional Therapy -
Adults and Children

Comprehensive oral myofunctional assessment and individualized therapy to improve tongue posture, chewing, swallowing, nasal breathing, and comfort for all ages.

Common concerns: 

  • Tongue‑tie functional impact 

  • Habit cessation (thumb/pacifier)

  • Chewing & texture progression 

  • Open‑mouth breathing,  snoring or sleep support.

  • TMJ / jaw pain & surgical care

  • Pre and post expansion or orthondontic care.

  • OMT for athletes and vocal performers— breathing mechanics, oral posture, airway efficiency.

With over a decade of continuing education, mentors, and clients to learn from, Chelsea will take your oral myofunctional health to the next level. 

Bodywork - 

Adults and Infants

Touch can be so powerful. There are two main specialitiy manual interventions provided: 

Adult Massage:

  • Head, neck, and inside the mouth speciality massage

  • ​Helpful for:​

    • Migraines/headaches​

    • Chronic cough

    • Muscle tension dysphonia or dysphagia

    • Head and Neck Cancer 

    • TMJ/TMD pain

    • Post oral surgery

Infant Massage:

  •  A blend of Craniosacral techniques with myofascial release, reflexology, and trigger point is used.

  • Helpful for:

    • "Colic" symptoms​

    • Pre/post frenectomy

    • Torticollis or head shaping

    • Increase feeding abilities

    • Increase sleeping abilities

    • Enhance bonding between parent and baby

While you may not be familiar with an SLP trained in manual care, it has changed the lives of many and Chelsea cannot wait to show you how supportive specific techniques and touch can be.

Virtual Services

While the team holds down the fort back in our PA office, their skills are available to those on the Western Slope via tele-health.

Our clinic in Pittston, PA and our home services in Doylestown, PA, we have taken pride in a community‑focused care that coordinates referrals and collaborates with local doctors, pediatricians, dentists, orthos, and birth workers. We will continue to deliver expert, evidence‑based support tailored to each client's needs.

FAQ

Do you accept insurance?

No, Lingua provides services at a fee for service basis. If you have out-of-network coverage, we will provide you with documentation. You can use HSA and FSA cards as well.  Our cost for in home services is $175 for the evaluation and $150 for any session after that. Virtual appointments range based on service.
