We’re thrilled to announce that Megan—our Speech Therapist/Oral Myofunctional Therapist, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and Certified Lactation Support Provider (CLSP through GOLD Lactation)—has officially passed her boards to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). 🎉

This milestone isn’t just a personal achievement for Megan—it’s a win for families across the Scranton–Wilkes Barre region who now have access to a truly unique blend of expertise in both oral myofunctional health and lactation care.

Megan’s background as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) means she brings advanced knowledge of oral motor development, swallowing, and infant feeding patterns into her lactation practice.

This dual expertise allows us to:

• Identify subtle feeding challenges early, such as tongue ties, high-valued palate, or oral motor delays.

• Provide integrated care that supports both breastfeeding success and long-term speech and feeding development.

• Support complex cases such as NICU stays, tube feeding, cleft palate, and more.

• Interpret and plan on swallow study (MBS or FEES) results for maximum outcomes.

• Easily navigate the transition from breast/bottle to starting solids, ensuring likelihood of picky eating and allergies are reduced.

• Offer families a one-stop clinic where lactation and communication milestones are nurtured together.

In short, we don’t just help babies feed—we help them thrive. Sessions at Lingua for breastfeeding cost $125.00 for an evaluation in our clinic, and $100 for any session after that. Cost for in-home or in hospital cost $150.00 per evaluation or session.

Be Well Beginnings: A Program Designed for Peace of Mind

Our program is designed to give families:

• Prenatal education tailored to your goals.

• Immediate postpartum support to troubleshoot early feeding issues.

• Ongoing guidance for growth, development, and transitions.

This program also includes 1:1 sessions with these professionals and topics:

Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant and RN: Sleep basics, Safe Sleep

Occupational Therapist and Certified Infant Massage provider: Touch, Bonding, and Transferring

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist: Maternal Nutrition
